I love this crazy stop motion mixed-media piece by Adam Gault. (via Uppercase)
My mom grew up in Brooklyn & my grandparents had a pharmacy there … this reminds me so much of all the stories I’d hear from them.

Type made out of sprinkles! A clever & creative project by Martine Strøm, a design student from Norway.

Came across the work of Spiros Halaris thanks to The Fox Is Black. I love this kind of inky watercolor lettering … and the loose, effortless style of his illustrations.
It’s impossible to escape The Great Gatsby. This track from the soundtrack has been stuck in my head all week.
I love the prints in this collection from Lesia Paramonova.
This little zine features a bunch of awesome female artists who are NOT AT ALL miserable & worthless.
Illustrator Kris Atomic’s business/accounting tips for freelancers — super helpful!
This music video by Elliot Dear blew me away — a foggy coastal town, a dog going exploring, reflections turning the world upside down … also, the behind the scenes of how all the live action was filmed & composited is amazing too.
It’s only a ROUGH CUT. (& other post-production woes.)

Two of my favorite things — typography & stop motion — all in one short film! Very informative as well.
I really enjoyed this illustrated series by Lisa Hanawalt for Lucky Peach. My favorite is a tie between the Batali pasta-crocs & Dan Barber rolling around in the grass. Her crazy imagination is just my style…
Thinking I want to try to make these mixes a more regular thing! Also, the word ‘ghost’ happens to pop up in a lot of these song titles … coincidence?

The Great Gatsby soundtrack is now streaming on NPR.
Bright, playful illustrations by Camilla Perkins on It’s Nice That (or, find her tumblr here).
